Spondylolisthesis Directory

Spondylolisthesis is a back problem in which a bone (vertebra) in the lower spine slips out of place and onto the next spinal bone. If the vertebra puts pressure on a nearby nerve, it can cause low back pain. Spondylolisthesis is the most common cause of back pain in teenagers. The condition may be present from birth, or it may result from injuries or activities that put a lot of stress on the lower back -- for example, gymnastics and weight lifting. Follow the links below to find WebMD's comprehensive coverage about how spondylolisthesis develops, what it looks like, how to treat it, and much more.
